Introduction: Why This Matters
In Mark 12, Jesus tells parables and answers tough questions from religious leaders trying to trap Him. He speaks boldly about His mission and reveals what really matters—loving God and others. Even when rejected, Jesus remains the cornerstone of our faith and hope.

“‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes.'”
Explanation For Teenagers
Jesus used a parable to show how God sent prophets—and finally His Son—but people rejected them.
Even when rejected, Jesus became the foundation for something new and eternal.
God can use rejection to accomplish redemption.

Jesus simplified what matters most: love God and love people.
This love isn’t about feelings—it’s about devotion and action.
Everything else in life should be shaped by these two commands.

What You’ll Need:
- Construction paper, markers, tape
How to Do It:
- Have each student write one way to love God on one block and one way to love others on another.
- Tape them to a wall to form a “cornerstone wall” showing love as our foundation.
