Introduction: Why This Matters
Mark 2 shows Jesus’ compassion and power as He heals a paralyzed man—and forgives his sins. This chapter teaches us that faith makes a difference, friends can carry us closer to Jesus, and God looks at the heart above all else.
1. Bible Reading: Mark 2:1–12
“When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, ‘Son, your sins are forgiven.’… ‘I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.’ He got up, took his mat and walked out in full view of them all.”
Explanation For Teenagers
The friends didn’t let obstacles stop them—they got creative to bring their friend to Jesus.
Jesus responded to faith that was active, not passive.
He healed deeper than expected—not just physically, but spiritually.
