Introduction: Why This Matters
Judges 3 introduces us to Ehud—an unlikely hero who saved Israel in a surprising way. His story shows us that God doesn’t just use the strongest or most popular people—He uses those who are willing to act in faith and obedience.
1. Bible Reading: Judges 3:12–23
“Again the Israelites did evil in the eyes of the Lord… and the Lord gave Eglon king of Moab power over Israel… the Israelites cried out to the Lord, and he gave them a deliverer—Ehud, a left-handed man… Ehud made a sword… and strapped it to his right thigh under his clothing… Ehud said, ‘I have a secret message for you, O king.’ As the king rose… Ehud reached with his left hand, drew the sword… and plunged it into the king’s belly.”
Explanation For Teenagers
Ehud’s left-handedness made him stand out—and gave him an advantage. People underestimated him, but God used that difference to bring deliverance.
Sometimes our differences are exactly what God wants to use.
God chooses unexpected people for His plans—and when we obey, amazing things can happen.
