Introduction: Why This Matters
In Matthew 18, Jesus challenges our idea of greatness. He tells us the greatest in the kingdom is like a child—humble, trusting, and teachable. He also teaches about forgiveness, showing that mercy is at the heart of His kingdom. This chapter reminds us to live with humility, love, and grace.
1. Bible Reading: Matthew 18:1–5
“He called a little child to him and placed the child among them. And he said: ‘Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.'”
Explanation For Teenagers
Jesus didn’t mean being childish—He meant being childlike: humble, open, and trusting.
God values hearts that aren’t full of pride or self-importance.
Greatness in God’s eyes looks like love, service, and faith.

“Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, ‘Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?’ Jesus answered, ‘I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.'”
Explanation For Teenagers
