Scriptures: Acts 11:1–18; Psalm 148 Revelation 21:1–6; John 13:31–35
Introduction: Why This Matters
This week’s readings show how God’s love breaks down barriers and creates something new. From Peter’s vision of acceptance to Jesus’ call to love one another, we see how the resurrection transforms how we live and love. God is doing a new thing—and we’re invited to be part of it.
1. Bible Reading: Acts 11:1–18
“So if God gave them the same gift he gave us who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to think that I could stand in God’s way?”
Explanation For Teenagers
Peter had to explain why he ate with non-Jews—and his answer was simple: God told me to. God showed Peter that the gospel is for everyone, not just a certain group.
Faith means welcoming people—even when they’re different. God’s grace breaks through our divisions.

2. Bible Reading: John 13:34–35
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
Explanation For Teenagers
This is more than just being nice—Jesus calls us to love like He did: sacrificial, patient, and real.
Love is the evidence that we follow Jesus—not perfect behavior, but deep compassion.
When we love well, we show the world who Jesus is.
