This lesson will help you see how God listens to your prayers and protects you even amidst difficulties.

Bible Reading: Psalm 34:15-16

“The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry; but the face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to blot out their name from the earth.”

  • Explanation:
    • God pays special attention to those who live righteously.
    • He is always ready to listen to our cries for help.
    • There’s a contrast between God’s care for the righteous and His stance against evil.

Youth Group Game: “Sound of Silence”

Instructions:

  2. Play a variety of sounds (music, nature sounds, etc.) and ask them to focus on one specific sound.
  3. After a few minutes, have them open their eyes and share what they focused on.

Debrief: Discuss how focusing on God’s presence can help in filtering out life’s distractions.

Closing Prayer

“Dear God, thank You for always watching over us and listening to our cries. Help us to live righteously and seek You in all our troubles. Be near to us, especially when we feel brokenhearted, and remind us of Your constant presence and protection. May we take refuge in You and trust in Your deliverance. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.”
