Introduction: Why This Matters
Mark 15 tells the story of Jesus’ crucifixion. It’s one of the hardest but most powerful parts of Scripture. Jesus suffered and died not just to show love—but to open the way for us to know God forever. His death tore the curtain in the temple, breaking the barrier between us and God.
1. Bible Reading: Mark 15:16–20, 33–39
“With a loud cry, Jesus breathed his last. The curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. And when the centurion… saw how he died, he said, ‘Surely this man was the Son of God!'”
Explanation For Teenagers
Jesus was mocked, beaten, and crucified—but He never stopped loving.
The torn curtain meant we can have direct access to God now—Jesus made the way.
The Roman centurion—someone outside the faith—recognized the truth in the end.
