Introduction: Why This Matters
Life can feel overwhelming sometimes, like a storm that won’t stop. Maybe you’ve faced situations where you felt afraid or out of control. The disciples experienced something similar when they were caught in a violent storm while sailing. But when they turned to Jesus, everything changed.
Today’s lesson teaches us that no matter how big the storm, Jesus is bigger, and we can trust Him to bring peace.
1. Bible Reading: Mark 4:35-38
“That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, ‘Let us go over to the other side.’ Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, ‘Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?’”
Explanation For Teenagers
The disciples were experienced fishermen, but this storm was so intense that even they were afraid.
Jesus was sleeping, showing that He wasn’t worried—He had complete peace.
Instead of trusting Jesus, the disciples panicked and questioned if He even cared.

Explanation For Teenagers
Jesus didn’t just calm the storm—He did it instantly with just His words.
