This Bible lesson is part 2 or 3 for teenagers on the topic of identity.
Finding your identity is such an important part of life, and nowhere is that more true than for teenagers. The teenage years are a time when young people are really figuring out who they are and what they believe in, and it’s so important that they have a strong foundation to build on. That’s why we’re so passionate about youth Bible study. We believe that getting youth into God’s word and helping them to find their identity in Christ is one of the most important things we can do as youth leaders.

Identity Series Lesson 2: Who Does God Say You Are?
Ask the youth if they did their assignment to not use “mirrors” and took time each day to find a quiet place and asked God to help them see who they are.
Ask if anyone is willing to share what that experience was like and what they learned.
Let’s look in the Bible and see how God sees you.
Hand out the attached worksheet (find it at the bottom of this lesson) and a pen or pencil to each student.
Have the youth take turns reading the following verses. After each verse is read, ask the youth to fill in the blanks on how God sees them based on the scripture verse. Then what that means to them. Do the verses one at a time.
Possible answers below are for the leader and are not on the student worksheet After the youth finds the scripture, spend about 1 minute reading the scripture and having them fill in the 2 blanks. Ask them to share their answers after each verse. This is to help the youth see the big I am picture. Individual lessons can explore each scripture topic at a later date.

Look back over the scripture verses. Everyone write down one of the scripture verses on the piece of paper and carry it with you or put it in your phone. Look at it once a day and ask Jesus to show how it is true in your life. Be aware that you are planting a seed, a question, and the answer may sprout in your thoughts at any time.
Pass out the 5 x 7 envelopes with the 5 x 7 cards in them from last week. Have the youth fold the worksheet in half and put it into the envelope. Collect the envelopes to use next week.
