Sunday School Lesson: Faith Lived Out in Real Relationships – Romans 16:1-27

Print Friendly and PDF

Introduction: Why This Matters for Teens

Teenagers often think faith is just personal—something between “me and God.” But Romans 16 shows a different picture. This chapter is full of names, friendships, teamwork, and warnings. Paul reminds us that Christianity is lived out in real relationships, real churches, and real community. This lesson helps teens see that following Jesus means loving people well, staying spiritually alert, and standing strong together.

What I’ve Learned about Faith Lived Out in Real Relationships

Many of us have heard someone say that there is “strength in numbers.” This is true in our faith as well. While we do have a personal relationship with Christ and should have time alone with Him, that does not mean we ignore other relationships. Godly relationships with friends, family, and others can strengthen our faith and help us become more like Christ. We see Paul mention other Christians with whom he has relationships, calling them his “co-workers in Christ Jesus.” We should have “co-workers in Christ Jesus” too. – Micah K
